Claim Types

The table is located at Tables > Quality > Complaints and Non-Compliance > Claim Types.

In this table, it is possible to encode Claim Types.
The Claim Type is an integral part, along with the Year and Number, of the unique code of the Claim.
Some examples of the use of Claim Types can be found in the managements:

Claims - in the header info;
Complaints and Non-compliance Parameters - in the General tab;
and in all managements where the Claim is used.

The table allows for the insertion of new records or for searching existing ones to view, modify or delete them.

Claim Types Search

The form consists of a filter area and a results area. Once all desired filters are set, simply click the Search button to view the results within the results grid.

Insert Claim Types

To insert new Claim Types, it is necessary to click on the first empty row in the grid or press the New button.
For the new record, at least the mandatory fields required by the program must be filled: the Code and the Description.

Claim Types

It is the list where the main information of Claim Types is entered.
The list consists of the following information:

Claim Type

Code: is the code of the Claim Type.
Description: is the description of the Claim Type.

Complaint Model is a list of predefined values from the system that identify the management model of the Claim; The predefined values are:

  • CL - Classic;
  • 8D - 8D Problem Solving.

Code: is the code of the Complaint Model;
Description: is the description of the Complaint Model.

Numeration

Code: is the code of the Numeration.
Description: is the description of the Numeration. Object: is the type of object on which the Numeration is based.

Invoice Type

Code: is the code of the Invoice Type that is used for the Valorization of the Claim for the creation of Credit Notes.
Description: is the description of the Invoice Type.

VAT Type

Code: is the code of the VAT Type that is used for the Valorization of the Claim for the creation of Credit Notes if the customer is lacking it.
Description: is the description of the VAT Type.

Complaint Type Attributes

It is possible to enter Extra Data for the Claim Type.
These Extra Data are inherited in the Claims of that specific type.
